Nobody does optics like Forest Lodge Guns
There’s no point aspiring to be rifle specialists unless you have the optics range to back it up. After all, your choice of scope is often more important than the rifle itself. Here at Forest Lodge Guns, we have a vast range of scopes, binoculars, rangefinders and night vision equipment from some of the world's leading manufacturers.
From £30 to over £3000, we have optics to suit every rifle and discipline, whether it be plinking in the back garden or on the range, vermin hunting out in the field, stalking on the fell, or precision 1000 metre target shooting. You can find it all here at Forest Lodge Guns.

What to look for when buying a new rifle scope
Start with the distance you normally shoot. More magnification is useful at longer ranges, but it can reduce your field of view, making a moving target harder to spot quickly.
The objective lens also matters. A larger lens can gather more light, which is useful in low light, though it can add weight to the scope. For air gun optics, check that the scope is designed for the rifle and its recoil pattern.
Reticle choice is worth considering, too. A straightforward reticle can be easier to pick up in the field, while a more detailed design may suit precise target work.
