The NocPix Omni L19R Multi Spectral Thermal Binoculars combine a 384 × 288 thermal detector and 19 mm F0.9 lens for area scanning with an 8192 × 6144 digital sensor for day and night observation. Separate imaging channels and an integrated 1000 m laser rangefinder bring thermal detection, visual detail and distance measurement into one binocular.
Thermal Imaging For Area Scanning
The Omni L19R pairs a 12 μm thermal detector with NETD ≤15 mK, supporting the display of small temperature differences within the scene. Its 13.8° × 10.4° field of view provides coverage for scanning, while the 1.5× base magnification keeps surrounding terrain in view. Magnification extends to 12× when closer inspection is required.
The thermal channel operates at 50 Hz. Selectable palettes, sharpness adjustment and warm or cool image hues allow the presentation to be adjusted to the scene and viewing preference. Automatic and manual calibration are available, with pixel defect correction accessible through the menu.
Digital Observation And Viewing Controls
An independent 50 mm F1.8 digital lens provides 3× to 18× magnification. Day, dusk and night modes accommodate changing light conditions, with exposure and saturation adjustments available for the digital image. Each channel retains its own image settings when switching between thermal and digital observation.
Separate focus wheels provide direct adjustment for each optical channel, while the central zoom ring controls magnification. Electronic image stabilisation supports steadier handheld viewing. The 1600 × 1200 AMOLED display is viewed through eyepieces with individual dioptre adjustment and adjustable spacing, allowing the binocular to be set for the user.
Distance Measurement And Observation Records
The integrated Class 1 laser rangefinder measures distances up to 1000 m and displays the result within the viewing interface. Single measurement and continuous ranging modes let the user choose between an individual reading and repeated measurements during observation. Ballistic calculation is also supported.
Photographs and video are stored in 64 GB of internal memory, with optional microphone recording for accompanying sound. The onboard gallery provides access to saved files, and the data connection allows transfer to a computer. Wi-Fi connectivity supports live image transmission and device control through the NocPix app. Selected button functions can also be reassigned through the app.
Power Management And Field Handling
Power comes from a built-in battery and two replaceable 18650 batteries. The battery compartment accepts the removable cells in either orientation, simplifying replacement in darkness. Maximum operating time is 7.5 hours at 22°C, with actual duration dependent on functions such as wireless connectivity, video recording and IR illumination.
The USB-C connection accepts external 5 V power and charges the internal battery. Removable cells require separate charging. A magnesium-alloy housing with PVC grip surfaces supports handheld use, while the tripod connection provides an alternative for stationary observation. The enclosure carries an IP67 rating, with a specified operating temperature range of -20°C to +50°C.
