The Henry Model X Lever Action Rifle .22LR takes the X Model formula Henry has been building in centrefire calibres and shrinks it onto a rimfire platform. Black synthetic furniture, a pistol grip stock, M-LOK slots along the forend and integrated sling swivel studs give it a working profile rather than a traditional one, and at 5 lb it is the lightest lever action in the range.
The 16.5in round blued barrel is threaded 1/2x28 at the muzzle, and the magazine tube is canted away from the bore so a moderator of up to 1in outside diameter clears it without fouling the tube. Worth knowing before you order: 1/2x28 is the American rimfire standard, while most moderators sold here are cut 1/2x20 UNF. You will want either a moderator threaded 1/2x28 or an adaptor.
Sights are fibre optic front and rear, the rear fully adjustable, and the receiver cover carries an integrated Picatinny rail, so a rimfire scope or red dot goes straight on without buying a base. Length of pull adjusts between 13.5in and 14in on supplied spacers, which makes it a sensible fit for smaller-framed shooters and for anyone shooting in heavy winter kit. The tube takes 12 rounds of .22 Long Rifle, more if you feed it Long or Short.
A sound choice for anyone after a light, moderator-ready rimfire for range work, plinking and rabbits, who would rather have a rail and a threaded muzzle than walnut.
